Language schools?

Language schools work for some people. But if you've tried one and felt stuck, that's not a you problem, it's a format problem. Here's the difference.

WHO AM I?

Hi, I'm Chiara.

Born and raised in Barcelona, with a Spanish mum and a Uruguayan dad.

The moment I finished my degree in Audiovisual Communication at the University of Barcelona, I left to travel. And I haven't really stopped since. Living across different countries taught me that language is the difference between being a tourist and actually belonging somewhere, and I felt that gap myself, learning English, Italian and others from scratch. I know what it feels like to freeze when you have to speak. That shapes everything about how I teach.

I trained as a Spanish teacher at International House, a well-known language school with centres across Spain, and have spent the last 8 years working with different people.

Expats navigating daily life. Retirees building a new chapter in Latin America. People who bought a house in Spain and want to connect with their neighbours. Digital nomads. And those who simply love the language and want to learn it for the joy of it. My students range from their twenties to their seventies and what they all have in common is that they want to speak, not just study.

I don't teach grammar for the sake of it. I help you actually use Spanish, because I've been on your side of the table, and I know that what you need is conversation, confidence, and someone who genuinely gets what you're going through.
